Yvonne Tracy Joins Haverhill Football Academy

Updated: Jul 26

Haverhill Football Academy is proud to announce the appointment of Yvonne Tracy, former Arsenal and Irish International player, as the new Academy Coach.

With an illustrious career as an international defender, Yvonne brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the academy, having played for Arsenal for 14 years and won 78 caps for Ireland.

Yvonne joins Haverhill as a UEFA B Coach and will work closely with Academy Manager Kevin Horlock to deliver exceptional training sessions for all students. Her role will also focus on serving as an inspiring role model for female players within the programme.

Peter Betts, Trustee of The New Croft Foundation, expressed his enthusiasm about the new appointment, stating, "We are delighted to welcome someone of Yvonne's experience in the game to Haverhill. Having played at Arsenal for so long, as well as forging an impressive international career, Yvonne brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership to our academy. Lois [Lois Balfour, Head of The New Croft Foundation] and myself have met Yvonne on several occasions over the past few months and knew she would be ideal for what we require here.

Her appointment, following the hiring of Kevin Horlock to the academy last year, demonstrates the significant strides we are making to ensure we appoint the best possible people to provide our players and students with the best possible opportunities. We are really excited about welcoming Yvonne, and she will no doubt support us in our attempts to keep growing opportunities here at The New Croft."

Yvonne Tracy's appointment is part of Haverhill Football Academy’s ongoing commitment to enhancing the quality of coaching and development opportunities available to its players. Her extensive background and passion for the game will be instrumental in shaping the next generation of football talent in both the academy's domestic and international programmes.
