HRFC EJA Brothers Selected for Olympiacos F.C. Academy

We're proud to celebrate an outstanding achievement for two players from Haverhill Rovers FC (Youth) EJA, following the exciting news that George-Mihaita Turlac-Constantinescu and Teodor-Andrei Turlac-Constantinescu have both been selected to play for the Olympiacos F.C. Academy (U15). 

The brothers joined Haverhill Rovers U14 EJA in July 2025 at the age of 13 through our partnership with Stridex Academy, a collaboration designed to bridge the gap between grassroots and elite football opportunities in Haverhill. George, a goalkeeper, and Teodor-Andrei (Andrew), a central midfielder, have shown exceptional commitment, talent and maturity throughout their time with the programme.

Olympiacos F.C. Youth Academy is the official academy system of Greek professional club Olympiacos F.C. and consists of six elite youth teams, making this a remarkable step in the players’ development and a testament to the strength of local pathways supported by The New Croft Foundation.

Alex Cook, The New Croft Foundation Football Development Officer and Lead Coach of Stridex Academy, said: “Andrew and George joined Stridex when we launched last year, having previously worked with them during their time at Norwich City. When I learned they were keen to pursue EJA football, bringing them to Haverhill Rovers Youth – delivered by The New Croft Foundation – was an obvious decision."

"Both players have consistently demonstrated a positive attitude and the right mindset to develop on and off the pitch. We are incredibly proud of what they have achieved and grateful to have played a small part in their journey. We wish Andrew, George and their family every success as they begin this exciting new chapter with Olympiacos F.C. in Greece.”
