Haverhill Rovers Youth and EJA (U13–U14) have recently returned from an exciting football tour in Italy, where 50 young players took part in the prestigious Riviera Cup.
The teams travelled to the coastal town of Cattolica to compete in the Riviera Cup, an international youth football tournament that brought together clubs from across Europe. Over the course of the tour, the players took part in a series of competitive and exciting matches, played across top-tier sports facilities in Cattolica, Misano, Gradara, Tavullia, and Vallefoglia.
Beyond the pitch, the trip offered the players a chance to immerse themselves in Italian culture. From relaxing beach outings to exploring the charming streets of Cattolica, the experience was as enriching off the pitch as it was on it.
“This was a fantastic opportunity for our young players to not only test their skills against international opposition but also to bond as a team and make unforgettable memories,” said Head of Foundation, Rhys Shulver.
The Italy tour marks another milestone in our ongoing mission to provide development opportunities and unique experiences for the youth players in our community. We’re incredibly proud of how the teams represented Haverhill both on and off the field, showing great sportsmanship, resilience, and team spirit.
We’d like to thank our generous tour sponsors, Peasgood & Skeates Funeral Directors and G&A Fire Protection, whose support played a key role in making this experience possible.
We had a brilliant time and can’t wait to announce our next international tour. Make sure to follow us on social media to stay up to date with all our future plans!
